Not aiming at you with my comments, just at the thread in general where so much of interest has been moved and a load of comments and information left with no photo to refer to. It gets very confusing when you are trying to understand the answers but cannot see the original question!

Tom, those empty images arn't the fault of the forum or the moving around of posts etc. It is where members post a pic from a Photobucket link, and then for whatever reason the image is then later removed, or moved to a different album, on the Photobucket site itself. It then leaves that icon.
It is very difficult for the poster to keep on top of this, and I'm as guilty for it as anyone!

Re lack of recent interest on this thread, I'm guessing we have covered so many airfields now that more really obscure 'farm gate' pics are being used, unless you have actually been to the very spot of that airfield you wouldn't have a clue where it is! I gave up long ago!
There is alot of new blood on the forum and I think we should keep the quiz going! Rather than posting "photos that could be anywhere" lets try and have something in the photo that will give a clue to there the airfield is.
