Flight Simulator (FS) is a great tool for airfield layouts especially as I build them by hand. Many airfields that still exist in the real world but are not active, i.e Thirleigh are not put in to FS, so I have added many of them as a ground layout only, in doing this I do get to know the places really well even though I've never been to them and are never likely to, LOL, it only took the crossed rwy to give it away.

Here is a pic in FS of the ground layout I did a while ago.



Incidentally as normal the floor is open to anyone.
