I was going to say a link was posted back in 2011 but I see it no longer works. There is a nice diagram of the Russian version which is exactly the same concept.
213 Sqn carried out a number of Lo Hi bombing runs with their Canberras in early 1958 and they were practiced at a number of locations, including the following airfields: Bardney, Henstridge, Winleigh and Yeovilton.
Is Lo Hi another name for LABS bombing or is it a different technique?
No Amount Of Evidence Will Ever Persuade An Idiot (probably not Mark Twain)
I should think it describes a differegnt attack profile from LABS.
Low Hi would, in my opinion, describe a bombing run commencing with an approach at low-level to avoid radar detection followed by a climb to bombing altitude and level out for run in a weapon release. Nuclear of course.
Loved watching the LABS Bombing at the NATO Bombing range offshore target. The drops were monitored from a purpose built observation building at Jurby Head. USAF officers were often there being exchanged regularly by flying in to RAF Jurby. Voodoos and Thunderchiefs used the range.
