Picture is from early 1950 and shows the end of runway 32 seen from the cockpit of a Horsa glider.

RAF Upper Heyford was home to No.1 Parachute Training School from from 1946 - 1950 an also the last remaining Horsa training fight before the dissolution of the Glider Pilot Regiment.

It was driving me a bit nuts to be honest, and I should know the Ox/Bucks airfields...... well some of them anyway.
