This is more a puzzle to me than for you guys.
This is a picture of XR770 during her period in RASF markings for SBAC Farnborough airshow in September 1966, question is what is the airfield that she is flying over? It almost looks the same as Lasham, but not quite.
Any ideas, though i can't tell you if you are right or not !!!

I agree , not Lasham-ground is too flat.

Not much to go on. An obvious publicity photograph that could have been taken on a transit flight from Warton to Farnborough or back across any of a dozen airfields. The only real feature in the bottom left is a spectacle dispersal and hangar with the perimeter track having been reduced to little more than a road.

Ironically, XR770 was an RAF aircraft 'badged-up' in Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) markings but was never supplied to Saudi Arabia.

Been watching this to see if anyone gets it, so seeing as its been 3 days and there are no takers, I know you dont know where it is but I'll take a pop at Chilbolton. It has changed a little since then but it is not that far from Lasham.

Thanks Stevo, that looks like you've nailed it. Having compared the two pictures it's too coincidental not to be Chilbolton. Mystery solved.
