It could be but, from the squadrons MN180 served with, I thought it might be another airfield somewhat south-east.

I'm guessing too Dave but no sign of squadron letters and the nearby hill was my reasoning. Do we know when MN180 was delivered and where built?

Going by the Jan 44 date, MN180 was with a Colerne-based squadron so I thought it might be there. The peritrack looks a bit narrow for a proper RAF station, however, so they must have flown it to Hucclecote for a photo session perhaps?

That's where it was built and I suspect the date is around completion/first flight.
The only history I can find states delivered to 56 sqn, and then with 137 as SF-Q at Manston, it crashed at Predannack in April '44.

I think the photo sequence was for 'Flight' magazine.
