What Aerodrome Quiz - Volume 3

I thought that. But the runway ends don't match-they are too spread out in the photo.

It is Clifton but I don't believe it is either. The roads and buildings at bottom of picture add up with the a19 and Clifton area. Unless anyone else can help with it. It could be a picture of when it was been built. Do have another pic to compare it with

This is a fascinating photo, taken from the south. There are only two runways - the NW/SE one is missing and by 1944 the N/S one had been extended beyond the peri-track (as was the eventual NW/SE one).
'The Story of Clifton Airfield' states that '...three concrete runways were provided 1941-43'.
AS4 states 'three paved runways were constructed 1941-42'
I guess two were originally constructed and the third, plus extensions were added later in 1943?.
