Yes It was around 1976 as I also have a copy which at the time I think cost around £11 from After The Battle Magazine .

Quedgley was 7 MU near Gloucester, it was the RAF central repository during my time in the RAF.

I've obtained a copy of the 2004 edition of the ' We Will Remember Them ' on Guy Gibson and the Dam Busters by JvdD & Mrs Eve Gibson.

It explains why my Airfix model did not have the mid upper or the redundant fuselage turret's in position on the Modified ' Dam Buster ' of the Lancaster Special B MK 111.

The Flight logbook is Navigational Instructor Stanford 1936 to 1948 and has 8 Guy Gibson signatures and in fills, it also has him low level flying over water between I.O.M and Chicken Rock way before the dambuster raids and the royal air force states that this is the earliest record of low level flying over water in Bombers that they have, it also has a direct link to Colditz and Stalag Luft 3C

Im curious as to why Gibson wasnt awarded a defence medal, he met the criteria of 3 years service in the UK.
