Anyway I've been reliably informed there there isn't any flying conducted overseas or that they have found out about the aeroplane yet.

Spot on REF. You can clearly see the rubber donuts (?) attached to the RHAG cable under the VC10, which I've only just noticed! Akrotiri is unusual in that I took this shot from literally the end of the runway! Unfortunately, this VC10 wasn't my ticket home, I was trapped there for another week fixing dead aircraft! There is a limit to the ammount of brandy sour a person can drink.........
