Coronavirus has resulted in the cancellation of many events, airshow included.

Both the Red Arrows and BBMF have received their annual PDA, but where will they display ?

I can see that Shuttleworth are keeping going but with a "Drive in" format starting July 18th

Any other news of events that are still taking place ?

Old Wardens August event is set to go ahead in a similar drive-in style as last Saturday's excellent evening show.As it stands at the moment they're hoping to hold more traditional shows for the September & October shows.

Duxford's Showcase Days & the Battle Of Britain Airshow in September are all set to go ahead & the Red Arrows have self confirmed there appearance for that amongst others.

Regards Duxford, they have sent us some New tickets for September. All we want now is weather like it is here today, scattered high white clouds, gentle breeze. Plus of course the aircraft.

The "drive in" idea at Old Warden reminded me of my one and only visit to an airshow there. It became effectively a drive in as the airshow was a washout and they scrapped the airshow charge and just charged normal entrance. This was in the early eighties and it chucked it down, although a spirited display was put on by a few based aircraft during the lulls, A similar thing happened at one of the "Great Warbirds" display at West Malling.

Shuttleworth's Drive-In Airshow worked extremely well. Full marks to the organisers for putting on a great show in very difficult circumstances.

It was great to FINALLY be at an airshow again this year & where better than Old Warden??
