Those photographs are very clear for an old 1989 camera. All of mine from that era are just as sharp, but only as a photograph to hold, not when they are copied on to a computor contraption  Great to see those.

These two my mate said today are Upper Heyford. I have no recollection of ever going there, yet these photographs are in my folder

Those last two F111 shots are Mildenhall mate not UH. Check out the water tower and the KC-135 Stratotanker tail with the big D on it. They are Upper Heyford based aircraft though.

I don't think theyr'e Duxford in the first set especially if thats XH558 in the first pic as she never landed at any of there shows.

With some scanners it is possible to get near digital quality copies off of film prints. The Epson or Cannon scanners produce superb results.

Some great stuff coming on here
QUESTION I am looking for shots of the SAAB incident at the 1972 Farnborough airshow- it had a wheels up misadventure- It is the fire trucks in use at that show that I am researching

Cheers for that Stevie, you know more about MY photographs than I do !! No-doubt you could even tell which airshow it was from the cloud-less blue sky....that's when we get some. I'll see what else there is in my attic  Nice one mate.

I use a Plustek Negative / Slide scanner, it took me a while to get to grips with it but it produces some good results. It all depends on what type of film you are scanning.

These are Negative scans from Biggin Hill, 1989.

LOL!! I'm just a total Mildenhall Air Fete anarack wearer to be honest. A total nerd when it comes to remembering what displayed there and what year etc.
I know those shots of the F111's are from either Mildenhall Air Fete 92 or 93. My money's on 93 when they had a three ship airfield attack to mark they're last ever appearances at a public show of Upper Heyford based F111's in the UK...the weather looks about right for the 93 event as well ;-)

Lovely shots there mitrovitchp. Nice to see the Sharks Gazelles.
