I went here today, a brilliant day. Sun shone all day though grey clouds hung about. There was plenty to keep you amused, my high point of the day was watching the Vampire doing a display, a beautiful aircraft.

Someone will correct me if Im wrong but the Thunderbirds and Blue Angel Phantoms were flown solo.
Do you mean with no nav or not in formation?
If the former I wouldn't be surprised, it can't have been much fun if you're not the driver!
if the latter, I saw the Thunderbirds at Mildenhall back in the 80s and they didn't do formation displays like the Red Arrows, just solo or paired runs with twirly bits in the middle.
No Amount Of Evidence Will Ever Persuade An Idiot (probably not Mark Twain)
Yes I do mean with no one n the back seat, but again IIRC the Blue Angels only had Phantoms for a short while. They used Skyhawks for quite a few years.
Shoreham Airshow was a wash out this year with very few aircraft getting into the air due to the low cloud base. One that did was Hurricane BE505 which put on a superb low level display. The humidity also produced some interesting effects.
Still think REF's is one of the best I have seen this year though
