Air show tickets MUST be purchased in advance On line £39 + £4 admin fee (B*st*rds) www.airtattoo.com/airshow/airshow-tickets Or from certain Barclays Banks (list on line) except the two branches I've just walked into in Bristol don't know anything about it ! In the sensible old days I'd pop into Waitrose or a number of other outlets and just pick 'em up. End of rant ! I'm going on the Saturday - may meet other AiXers ? EDIT Oh No - all my spacing has gone - we've got formatting problems again - and I can't put an unhappy Smiley in either.

The bus from Bristol is £45. I (+ my mate) will get dropped off at Swindon bus station by his wife (and her mate who will go off and do girly things (antiques and craft fairs)). Dave and I then get the shuttle bus to Fairford which costs a fiver (return) and has a secret route into the base. It's great value for money. In the old days we'd agree a time to get picked up at the bus station - could be an hour out either way. These days the mobile phone solves that one.

What no Waddo pics? Come on it, it's 7.30 already! :)

To knackered and sunburnt to sort through them all right now mate. Couldn't resist this one though. The Thunderbirds rather nice commentator. I must admit i found my self looking at her more than the team flying to be honest ;) -

Such a shame to say goodbye to the Nimrod this weekend -

Cheers,
Steve

Good to see REF, NJR & JH at the ARG Roadshow this afternoon.

Here are a few photos - no doubt we will see more as REF and others were armed with much better lenses than me!

What did you think of the Air Display?

Personally, I enjoyed 'Team Viper' more than the Thunderbirds as the five Hunters performed a fantastic routine; pity the Stringbag was sidelined to the static display.

In summary, I thought the airshow was a great family day out with my wife n kids, but with my aviation enthusiast hat on, hmmm I felt the show didn't quite reach its full potential - would have been nice to see one last flight of the Nimrod R1?

Nice photos Steve, sorry I didn't get to see you and Mick before you went, hopefully catch up soon though. Thanks for the text as well hydealfred - meant to reply but was watching the Thunderbirds when you text and got distracted! Some of my photos from today (Sunday), The Saturday photos will follow later.

A good weekend for ARG, Noel will probably put a report up on the weekend when he gets 5 minutes.

I must express my thanks to Warren, Jim Hope, Noel and Chris for their help and company this weekend. I was great to see alot of ARG Members come up and say hello as well.

Cheers

Rich

...and one final photo from me.

Got a 'Paddington Bear' stare from the wife for taking this one of Miss England after she walked right past where we were sitting - hmmm...can't imagine why!

Just thought that I would post a few of the first-ever photographs taken with my digital camera of aircraft in-flight.
