Welcome to the forum Mark. North Oxfordshire is not an area I am familiar with except via maps and Google Earth. The areas I covered were were Kent,Sussex and East Anglia with the occasional trips further north (Did I really visit Driffield?).
Most of this ended in the early eighties when I got married.

I was a RAF Airframe tech - a "rigger" -from 75 - 88
Main postings were St Athan, Brawdy, Binbrook and CIO Wolverhampton.
Detatchments to Waddington, St Mawgan, Abingdon, Newton, Kinloss, Finningley, Lossiemouth, Hereford, Scampton, Stanmore Park, Ty Croes, RAE Llanbedr, Valley and Wattisham
I live in Rugby and teach Engineering in Solihull.
