BBC North West had an item on the Lancaster last night. To commemerate the 80th anniversary of the start of wwii and the 80th anniversary of the opening of AVROs Chadderton factory they towed a Lancaster cockpit through the streets/ Apparently thats how they got them to Woodford, also had interviews with some surviving Lancaster crewmen.

This is the "long nose" lancaster fuselage I think?
It has had a checkered history, and has moved around a lot and was painted differently port and starboard at one point
I recall seeing it at East Kirkby, Scampton, and Brooklands at various times
