It wasn't a civil aircraft when that photo was taken.


But I have seen it in close proximity to the Reds since it was a civil aircraft...

Not sure what the definition of close is but I've not seen it as close as that in any of it's formations with the sparrows, eurofarce or BBMF since it was on the civil register.

Quite right Chris, but a magnificent model.

Just watched a re-run of the Vulcan attack on the Falklands and was curious to note that the Vulcan in several shots of the doc. had grey/green camoflage on the UNDERSIDE as well as the upper surfaces. Why this and not a more likely pale grey/blue or similar - ?:confused:

The "sneaky-uppy" low level under-the-radar approach the V force was forced into reintroduced the adoption of wrap-around camouflage (used in WWI!) to help avoid physical detection around mountains during extreme manoeuvres.
