ICAO codes

I have managed to sort a few more out -
[all in the 1961/2 era]

EGGT was Newcastle
EGCM was Manchester
EGQR was possibly Dundee - I have found a note indicating a Cambrian Dakota routed Newcastle then Dundee and adjacent was a note showing EGQR
EGBF was I believe Burnaston - every Derby Airways DC.3 seems to have positioned to or from EGBF in the Cardiff logs I have! and Burnaston was Derby main base in those day's
Finally I have seen EGGU being in use as well - within approx 60 - 90 mins flying time of Cardiff [Another Cambrian Dakota flight taken!]

One for over the Irish Sea if interested was EINK being Cork

The EGQ batch was and indeed still is allocated to Scottish military bases, Id be very suprised if Dundee was alocated EGQR.

I need some assistance. As an airline archivist I have problems about the code for Uxbridge GADA.
Having just been given a copy of a european control tower log book some of the entries state a flight would return to GADA. Bearing in mind the aircraft was a Vickers Viking that would have usually return to Heathrow in the 1950's. Is there a airfield in the area that could have had this code. Does it refer to a military airfield? was there one in Uxbridge what about Denham? just confused!!

I wonder if it was intended to be GACA (Northolt)...in the late 40/early 50s a lot of BEA flights used Northolt.

If I recall correctly, all Scottish civilian airfields had the prefix EGP, then obviously a forth letter to denote airfield.

High Wycombe's is EGUH, Newmarket racecourse is EGSW and EGYY is all HM Ships with individual ships having another 4 letter code, ZXAC is Ark Royal. EGRB is the London weather centre.

Are you sure High Wycombe is EGUH?? The EGU batch was East Anglia, IIRC High Wycombe was EGDH.
