Hi Mawganmad

This forum is driving me mad, I sent you a long begging requst for copies of a few of your plans but when i look in my sent items
its not in there, I`ll try again..... fingers crossed.

YOUR INBOX IS FULL AND WON`T ACCEPT ANY NEW PM`S
Any chance of a copy of St Davids and Hullavington so i can work out where the BHQ`s are located any size will do as long as
i can get a location. I did requst these two from Hendon but they said they were unable to send me copies.

I`ll pay for the copies and the postage, not a problem.

Cheers Mike

If you want to know the location of many of the BHQs on airfields you can download Defence of Britaing Google Earth Overlay and itcwill load as a Placemark menu of all types of defence positions including BHQs.

Just Google for it although there is a tread on AiX with a link.

Hi Mike, sorry only just seen your reply & no PMs received this end!
My scanner is on the fritz at the moment but can provide these links, I think it could be bad news for their existance though.

St Davids, Site no 2, bdg 205, www.flashearth.com/?lat=51.880278&lon=-5...&z=18.7&r=0&src="msa"
I reckon the current straight stretch of road goes right over the BHQ, originally the road was curved around the site, you can see the disused bit above. The location could also be just to the west of position shown (numbers not that clear), but still under the road.

Hullavington, Airfield Site, bdg 225, www.flashearth.com/?lat=51.536919&lon=-2...43&z=17&r=0&src="msa"

As I say their existence looks doubtful, but could be worth checking out anyway

IIRC, there was an issue of Airfield Review which listed all the building drawings at RAFM Hendon. I cannot remember which issue(s) it was though? Can anyone help please?

Many thanks

I don't know about the list being printed in AR, but a contact for where to receive a copy of the list in spreadsheet format used to be published in many issues.

We hold two hard copies in the Archive, containing 1185 individual entries from 1913 onwards.

I thought that there was a listing here on AiX.

I have a list on my main PC so will put it up on here tomorrow.

EDIT: This list (attached) was published on AiX by Paul Francis (NP) about 6 years ago. I hope you (Paul) wont might me repeating it again:
