No not Haldon - tho' looking at both maps I can see why you may think it fits.

A lot further North(across some water) and slightly to the east.

Nope.....

It is getable in two easy steps using Google from the info contained in the first picture......but as a hint - the aircraft will take you there.

No- not W-M.

More clues.

The aerodrome is not extant- was a private aerodrome - in use approx 1931- 1939.
It is in England- just.
The owner of the place - an FAA pilot was killed in WW2.
In 1937 an Air rally was held there that attracted overseas participants.
