How about the P51B Mustang, used by a fighter group of the Ninth Air Force, but attached to the Eighth Fighter Command, operations not actually conducted from here but not too far away, but which also used this airfield for engineering purposes. The actual airfield being a pre-war aerodrome of a certain town whos claim to fame was being sacked by Bodica and her Iceni tribesmen, en-route to sacking a couple of other towns. If you cant get it now then there is no hope for yer.

Boxted is the parent station, but this other airfield is a few hundred yards away. So that is not the correct place though you are geting warm. I want the proper name of the airfield not the town.

Sounds like Ardleigh is in the same place as Colchester, did it have two names?
