Woah that was quick! I thought that would of stumped people. I even rotated it so its not orientated North. Must try harder :(


When you have copies of Airfield Review with the SLG articles it was easy to find. The hangar was the give away.

Just confirming, Stevo got Baldonnal (Casment) Aerodrome a very long time ago :) , or so it seem's. This forum must be jet powered :o . You guy's are tooooooo good.

Like you say 'nice legs' - (the person in uniform on the extreme right not the hangar).
You can tell a builder from an archaeologist by the size of his trowel. Mine is a small one!

Stevo - Finningley it is.

Taken on the occasion of the Jubilee Royal Review of the RAF in June 1977 (the official day with no barriers).
The chap in the suit on the left was ex-RAF and my guide on ceremonial protocol. My lasting memory is the bandsman playing the tuba passing out. Two uniforms promptly trotted out grabbed happless tuba player under the arms dragged him back and was replaced by tuba player two. This was all done with such precision and speed that a lot of eyes in the NCO stand were watching this rather than the Queen!
