Biggin Hill was the cause of my half red face as yours was Mildenhall. Not good for photos shooting into the sun either. The RAF at Home days at Biggin were far better as the sun was normally behind you but that was a very long time ago!
The next few years should be interesting. My dad lives near Marham and my sister is based at Lakenheath although my driver seems to sense the approach of an airfield and takes avoiding action. I can't fool here twice with that elephant memory of hers

Nice photos Paul. It was great to have a noisy jet hovering in front of an airshow crowd again. The RAF example displayed on Sunday. Have you got any shots of some the other aircraft displaying? Be great to see them.

I thought that it was a good airshow, despite the new restrictions they seemed to be displaying right up to the edge, very close at times.
As for sun / wind burn, all four of us came away with Red faces
same as last year, and just about every air show that we go to since we first started. Strange though how some people don't 
must be Aliens

Factor 4,000 sun cream no doubt. However such creams are not compatible with glasses or camera lenses. The other frustrating thing is that my wife's new DSLR has a touch screen which she can't see in reasonable daylight and nor can she use it to frame photos at arms length. You'd have thought the numpties who design such "user friendly" interfaces would have solved this problem a decade ago!
The reason I mention this is that I recently saw someone taking a photo outside in the sun with a black cover over their head so the could see the screen. Next we will have glass plates

Thankfully these ridiculous new restrictions don't apply at the military shows like RIAT, Cosford, Yeovilton etc as they are controlled by the MAA (Military Aviation Authority) not the CAA so thankfully display lines, heights etc remain pretty much the same at RIAT as previous years.
That said, Rhymes Park & view & campsite underneath the display line outside the northern perimeter of the base (which is always packed with spectators) where forced to close this year & the areas on & around it kept clear of people.

Moving the aircraft so far away this season really has diluted the magic at OW so this is very welcome news -
DISPLAY LINE CHANGES
Following a comprehensive review of the lateral separation distances for flying
displays at Old Warden (conducted by our Aviation trustee and Chief pilot) we
are pleased to announce that the CAA have accepted our proposal to reduce the
lateral separation limits for our types aircraft and displays.
This will significantly reduce the display line to crowd separation for the
majority of our non-aerobatic displays, so much so that we believe that there
will be little perceptible difference to the display distances we used to enjoy
at Old Warden.
We expect written confirmation of the new display distances for this weekend’s
‘At Home’ show on 16 July 2016.
