I notice more people are doing this, what is the reason when the interior will be painted green?
Karl's first photo above shows B-17G-40-VE 42-98004 of the 351BG at Polebrook, after her infamous Flak hit on the ball turret, killing the gunner Sgt Kenneth Divil, while flying as Low Group lead plane on a mission to Cologne on Wednesday 27th September 1944.
I'm lucky enough to have some interior photo's of the particular aircraft I'm trying to model, which was also a Block 40 Vega-built B-17G.

The chin turret controller is missing all together from the nose interior. Revell based this kit on "Mary Alice" and I believe that equipment is missing. The panel lines on the nose look like they need some filling in . Good luck with the build.
I've got an old Hasegawa B-17G that I can salvage the turret control arm from, and make up a sight cradle from scratch.
The panel lines aren't as bad as they look, a coat of paint or foil almost fills them completely.
The worst problem, and something not often mentioned, is the engraving for the nose hatch. It looks like they've only looked at the side profile when setting up the tooling, giving it a very distorted shape. Guess I'll have to cut the whole panel out and fabricate a new one.
Hows the status of the All-new Revell 1/72 B-17G construction? Have you any updated photos available? It looks brillant by the way considering getting one myself.
