There seem to be copies on Ebay quite often - search on 'West Malling' or perhaps Amazon?. I'll happily sign anything you buy but I'm afraid I don't have any copies to sell!

Just a short "hello" and to say that I was drawn to the Website and Forum because I was searching on the internet for information about a couple of airfields, or at least fields which have allegedly been used by aircraft at some stage, around Birmingham. Namely, Great Barr and Wythall. I have always had a general interest in airfields (I am 54) and in particular those small sites which were around during WWI and the interwar civil sites. I look forward to reading more from the Forum and contributing where I can - certainly for example I do have some information about Heronfield, Warwickshire on which I see one poster wanted some details.

Welcome to the forum oldmangonewest. The pre-war airfields get little mention but there is an excellent book covering your area written by Alfred Jenks. Also lookuout for "Peaceful Fields" by John Hamlin which is a directory of most of the the inter-war landing grounds.

New member just signed on. Like you all, I have an interest in airfields (and aeroplanes); I spend most of my days (nights - I'm a shift worker) on one and have read many of the thread on this site with interest. I used to live in the UK and have visited a number of different airfields around the country, so some of the places listed here are familiar to me. Looking forward to getting on with it.

As a taster, this is where I work. The image was taken in 1942:
