The next meeting of the Friends of the Eighth will be at the refurbished control tower of Rougham Airfield on Saturday 18th September 2010. The meeting is scheduled to start at 16:00, but you're welcome to turn up earlier if you wish to wander round the museum. If anyone would like to become a member, just come along and say hello.
FOTE will meet again 18 September at the refurbished control tower at Rougham, near Bury St Edmunds. Just off the A-14 at Junction 45 go north onto General Castle Way go long for about a half a mile though the old base now industrial site tower road is on the right. Start time 4:PM, to tour the tower museum and surroundings show early.
We met this gentleman at Duxford last Wednesday, one of the Yoxford Boys from RAF Leiston who used to fly P51 Old Crow, his name Bud Anderson, just Google that name for a slice of history
