I just phoned Thorpe Abbotts museum and Carol says that they've only had a light dusting of snow so far. The FOTE meeting is still on, so I'm about to wend my merry way there now.

Virtually no snow on the ground at the moment, I'll be up there shortly too. I can't stay for the full meeting though as I am out tonight.

Been snowing here all morning so I'm going nowhere at least 4 inches of snow on the ground & drifting.

Anyone going to Bottisham British Legion Club next Saturday for the next FOTE meeting? Can't find my last newsletter, but presume start time is the usual 4pm?

The next meeting of the Friends Of The Eighth will be at the British Legion Club, 31 Downing Close, Bottisham (near Cambridge), CB25 9DD, on Saturday 22nd June 2013 starting at 16:00. The 361st Fighter Group museum (presumably nearby) will be open from 14:00.

The next meeting of the Friends Of The Eighth will be on Saturday 21st September 2013 at the 306th Bomb Group Museum, Thurleigh, Bedfordshire. The meeting will start at 16:00, although the museum will be open for viewing beforehand.

The next meeting of the Friends Of The Eighth is at the 95th Bomb Group Museum "Red Feather Club", Horham, Suffolk on Saturday 30th November 2013 starting at 16:00 - see www.95thbg-horham.com/ for information about the museum.

By the way, there is now a "Friends Of The Eighth" group on Facebook. If you want to join the Facebook group, then please send a personal message to Pete Worby and include some information about your connections with either the 8th Air Force or FOTE.
