The next meeting of the Friends Of The Eighth will be on Saturday 20th September 2014 at the 306th Bomb Group Museum, Thurleigh, Bedfordshire. The meeting will start at 16:30, although the museum will be open for viewing beforehand.
The next meeting of the Friends Of The Eighth will be at the British Legion Club, 31 Downing Close, Bottisham (near Cambridge), CB25 9DD, on Saturday 29th November 2014 starting at 16:00. I expect that the 361st Fighter Group museum (located within the building) will be open too.
BTW The new museum is scheduled to open in Spring 2015. Perhaps we'll get the chance for a "sneak preview" !

This meeting is intended to be a tribute to the recently deceased Cliff Bishop. A tour of both Eye and Horham airfields in historic military vehicles has been arranged (thus the earlier start time of 1 PM). There will be a Barbecue available during the evening (weather permitting).
