Just been browsing the NCAP site and I noticed another batch of aerial photos have been added and this lot seems to be mainly Oxfordshire. There is some good coverage of some parts dating to 1963 and 1969 (Abingdon, Benson, Chalgrove and more)
For my part (Bombing ranges) Benson shows the remains of the airfield bombing range direction arrow, but no target. Odstone show the soil mark of the old target in both 1963 and 1969 and the arrow in 1969 only. Warpsgrove shows the triangular target as a fading soil mark in 1963.
I have been looking through mapping of Northern Ireland, you have probably seen them but just in case not there are some interesting sites.
I have not found a way to search the database by type yet but been looking around at sites on the map.

Somerset have updated their online mapping on their HER site to a much larger view, effectively from matchbox size to shoe box - quite a difference. Of particular interest is the 1946 aerial photograph layer which covers a number of site including all the Somerset airfields and the majority of Upottery.
Sadly the new site didn't extend into Weston-Super-Mare and failed to cover the range areas that the old site did at Sand Point, Woodspring Bay and Langford Grounds. Having said that is is a lot clearer and this time you don't have to register to get the full zoom.
There is a 1940s layer which is the same coverage as Google Earth but chopped for South Cambs area. Howver the contrast is a bit better on the South Cambs website. The other layers are the same as GE apart from one which is 1988 and may be of interest as it was nearly 30 years ago.

Following on from my previous post, I did notice that the 1998 layer extends a bit further and shows Mepal's Thor pads, two complete and one with just a bit left.

NCAP have announced a joint project to digitise 40,000 tins of film held at the US National Archives. These cover Europe and the UK and will ultimately appear on the NCAP website.
I suspect this includes some of those already visible on Google Earth for Europe but the UK coverage for the UK will be of huge interest to me as it may include pre-war coverage of some airfields. I have seen a 1939/40 mosaic of London taken by the German Luftwaffe and the quality was fairly good and better than most of the GE 1945 layers. There was also one of Liverpool for the same period.
No time scale was given but the UK coverage was mentioned last so it may take a couple of years. I hope it's worth the wait.
This lot are all of Russia and do include a few airfields. When I tried the KMZ extract didn't appear to work but this is normally corrected at some point.

Devon County Council's Environmental Viewer (Mapping) now includes near complete coverage in 1946/7 aerial photos. Most is very good quality and can be zoomed in fairly close before detail degrades. All the airfields seem to be covered and Folly Gate even exhibits a landing circle! I haven't checked the pre-war sites bur suspect some may be recognisable. The temporary airstrip behind Slapton Sands is more obvious and it looks like a dispersal area was cleared.
Bombing ranges are covered, but there aren't that many but Brixham shows up some more fuel tanks near the VOR beacon which I don't think were spotted before. I have yet to look for all the other wartime sites of interest but lets hope some more counties follow on from Norfolk, Kent, Somerset, Dorset, Durham, Lancashire, Cheshire, and Devon

Another batch of NCAP aerial photos taken by the German Luftwaffe have appeared, although not officially, ye., No doubt they are incomplete at this stage (31/08/2017).
This lot covers parts of Kent from September 1940 and includes the airfields at Gravesend, Detling and a rather battered Eastchurch. It also shows the ranges at Leysdown, although the height means it is not too clear. Lydd ranges are also covered. The quality is on par with many RAF taken ones from a similar height and offer an excellent view of a pre-blitz England, including my house
Parts of northern France have also been added but I haven't looked at these.

I was at Lyveden New Build just outside Oundle and there was a German picture of the site which had apparently led to the discovery of some long lost landscaping features. This coverage dosnt appear to be available yet, but there is a chance the range at Bearshanks wood may be visible in an adjoining frame. I am assuming the picture I saw was taken on a recce run over Corby.
