A glossy monthly A4 size magazine on sale for £3-95 and now into its third year of publication which touches on topics often covered within AiX and one or two contributors names may even by familiar Forum members ! Issue 34 out now mentions the Mawbray bombing range in Cumbria and the previous edition featured two new aviation memorials ; one to a Hampden crew in Dartford , Kent and the other to a B24 crew near Cheddington , Bucks . Worth a look .

I've just been reading an article in the January edition of Britain at War magazine and there is a fascinating article about airfield sites that reached the planning and land acquisition stage before being dropped. Written by David Smith who, considering the material, is more than likely a member here!

One airfield mentioned in the article is in Ireland at Millisle. It interests me as it had £58,000 spent on it with various bits of runway and peritrack laid before work stopped. Does anyone have any pictures of this, I'd love to know more.
