Fold3 Worth a look or several

About an hour ago, I looked in on PTE's thread regarding Grovely Wood. He dowloaded an image from "Fold3" Hmmm. I wonder who Fold3 are? So I googled the Fold3 web site. Wow!
What a resource!

Apart from the free USAAF WW2 photographs you may like to look at the US Army Records Europe - England. Remember that the 8th and 9th were US ARMY Air Force and so lots of relevant information can be found there but it means plodding through thousands of documents. I have had a full access subscription for some years so I'm not sure what non-sub access is limited to.

...although I did do a post about 'gosh have you seen the Fold3' outfit more recently.

I can recommend taking the free seven day subscription, but do it when you have some time off!

I've spent hours downloading stuff from Fold3.
