Hi David I totally agree with your sentiments it would be a great shame if the Canadian Lancaster came all this way & did not visit or fly over the very base where
Mynarski flew from .
According to the BBMF, CWH is still in negotiation with airshow organisers overs its public appearances. However, from the list of airshows being attended by PA474 over the period the aircraft is in the UK, most of the appearances will be on the south coast and in south-east England.
I am sure that a major effort will be made for the two aircraft to be seen further north, especially in Yorkshire which was a stronghold of the RCAF, but the programme has yet to be announced.

Is there an event at Elvington around the time of the visit with the Rolling Thunder theme ?. I have contacted the Peak National Park and any reply I'll post. That would be some sight to see in Yorkshire and hope it happens for you when the details come out.

Peak Park Rangers contacted me today and have said that as far as they know the CWH or BBMF have NOT requested a flypast over the Dams, but did say that if they do it, will be on the spur of the moment and suggested the public check the BBMF website as to where their Lancaster is going and the date.
