Many thanks for that list Stevie We are hoping to go to Little Gransden, maybe Sywell but most of all East Kirkby. Just hope that the weather will be good for all occasions
I have already booked-off the 7th + 8th of August from work and plan to go to Coningsby for a long weekend to watch the trial flights around there in preperation for the coming airshows.

I really do like an airshow when your sitting watching TV & the BBMF Lancaster flies past the living room window, couldn't mistake the sound of those engines approaching.

Now to watch for the return flight in about an hour.

The LLA magazine arrived today and it suggests that the Canadians will be here until 15 September.

Bring Easy Elsie the last dambusters lancaster bomber back home to the UK.

We would like the British government to bring the wreckage of "Easy Elsie" the last lancaster bomber from 617 squadron - (the dambusters) back to the UK. She crash landed in in a swamp in Porjus, Sweden on 29-10-1944 after attempting to sink the Tirpitz. All of Elsie's crew survived. She currently lies outside, open to the elements, while slowly rotting and being scavenged by souvenir hunters. We believe this historic and unique piece of British military heritage should be returned home, preserved and used to educate this and future generations about the bravery and sacrifice made by our ancestors during world war 2.
