Very interesting!  Maybe it is the Prince of Wales after all as one of them was still offshore until at least 12.30 LT today.

That was why I asked, many think AIS is the same as radar but it can be easily spoofed.  For example It is possible put virtual 'buoys' around an obstruction to mark it and certain that the military can display false locations for their vessels if they wish.

I seem to recall that a whole fleet was once spotted on the Great Lakes from the Canadian side during WW2. This was an illusion. Makes you wonder :)

One of the carriers was off North Cornwall again Sunday 29 Sep until am Tuesday 1Oct.  A couple of F35's (FAA?) appeared am Monday 30th and flew over the house at low level on the way to the carrier.

Coming in a little late to this thread but here she is clearing the three bridges in the Firth of Forth as she puts back to sea after a six week spell in dry dock at Rosyth for maintenance.  Date is 25th may 2019.

    HMS Prince of Wales can be seen still under construction at Rosyth to the left of shot.
