The best programmes tonight are on Radio 4 Extra with lots of old comedy through the night. I was just setting up one of my PVRs to record these and noticed this programme being repeated.

Not often there is anything about BRIXMIS, someone should do a TV programme about it.

HISTORY DOCUMENTARY: The Brixmis Story
On: BBC Radio 4 Extra
Date: Friday 8th May 2015 (starting tomorrow morning)
Time: 06:30 to 07:00 (30 minutes long)

4 Extra Debut. The Brixmis officer spies in uniform were the unsung heroes of the Cold War. Jolyon Jenkins tells their story. From June 2007.

I only have Tony Geraghty's book. Interesting that the old radio programme mentioned the pagers, I had heard about them from a friend who worked with someone who had been in Brixmis.

I was disappointed that when we visited Chicksands, the Brixmis car was away for some work to be done on it so we did not see it.

I've only just come across this.

The film Appointment in London started on Film4 at 11am this morning and starts again at 12 Noon on Film4+1. Starring Dirk Bogarde. It's about a Lancaster bomber pilot who wants to get to 90 missions. I don't know the airfield location being used.

It's a great film and its RAF Upwood although the pub is nowhere near the airfield, it's near the studios in London.

Enjoy! I bought it on DVD and have watched it a couple times. There are some great scenes shot at the airfield.
