NI=Northern Ireland or Ulster (Geographically incorrect) or the 6 counties. This is the British
controlled area.

ROI= Republic of Ireland or Southern Ireland or the 26 counties or Eire and pre 1948 Irish
Free State.
This is the area that Shannon Airport is in and also my county of Donegal.

I figured it would be in Ireland and that's the first place I looked. Problem is, I'm so focussed on Military airfields that I was not looking at Civil.

Also, a Windows tip - which I keep forgetting - is, to make the page larger, hold down Control and click the + key to enlarge the page or - to reduce. Also works using the mouse wheel as long as you hold down Control.

Here's one that may require a little thought - in particular because the aerodrome shown was never actually built - a little detective work may be required...there are acouple of good clues however.

It looks like what is now South Ruislip. If i'm right Northolt airfield is just to the west of the railway line.

I reckon the landing ground matches the area I've highlighted red with the river to the north and the railway bounding the south west side.

Looking good - but what was it going to be called had it been built?
