its the fire service watchroom overlooking the apron (and fire trucks)at newcastle. if correct, nothing to post, so open house to somebody.

Congratulations. It is indeed Newcastle (Woolsington as was) Airport. Taken in 1976 it has probably changed a tad!

Congratulations' and well done Dave, you'er wild guess is spot on. Gormanston it is.
Sadly closed on 09.08.2002 and the vultures in the form of developers are circulating,
but they will be held back for the time being, with the downturn in construction here.

It really was a wild guess - it was the only RFC/RAF field (in what became the Republic) I could find anything about that appeared to have any really permanent buildings.....just luck.

I'll find a new one later this evening.
