By the way, that hangar at Heston is still standing, plainly visible on Google Earth. As hangars go - beautiful.

Ahh one that I do know and I'm too late! That Heston hangar should have a preservation order on it, rare beauty in a functional building, really glad to hear tht it is still about. They had an unusual aircraft refuelling pump tower there aswel, not sure if that has been kept somewhere?
