Last weekend saw the Royal Aero host one of there Air Race Meets at Leicester. Here's a selection of photos I took. Great to meet up with Praesta again as well -
Good to see you again mate - have to say you photos made it look more exciting than it was in real life! Hettie said she preferred sheltering from the snow in the NFE Store
I've just realised who is stood at the start-line!

Ha ha!! That was the impression I was trying to achieve. I must admit watching seven aircraft racing isn't quite as impressive as watching 35 when they used to hold the King's Cup here a few years ago but it was still a good day. I had a feeling she was more impressed by that crazy weather last time we where there:lol:.
Anyone interested in Lancaster bomber aircraft will be pleased to learn that the BBMF Lancaster will be flying alongside a Canadian Lancaster at the Clacton Air Show this August.
Lancaster FM 213 will be leaving Hamilton Ontario on 4th August and arriving in the U.K. on 8th August to take part in some air displays.
The aircraft is owned by the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum in Hamilton.
Thanks for the advance warning Chris, I think these are the last two flying Lancasters in the world now aren't they? My eldest cousin's first husband was lost in a Lancaster on a bombing raid to Dusseldorf in 1943 so I have a special interest.
