and in reality we had only repainted a fraction of the stuff to yellow before strike & RAF G went IRR green !! At Marham the paint shop was so overwhelmed in 74/5 so us lads in GEF special forces were doing our own resprays in a shed behind the old GSE section. There are some Humbrol blue greys- 79 and 96 but both are matt and niether is as I remember the colour
Aarrgghh - ! Hannants of Oulton Broad; a wonderland of models, accessories, paints & decals of many types, makes, scales and standards. A place that will make your wallet / credit card cringe in fear of abuse - !
I seem to recall someone saying that if a model was 100% accurate it wouldn't look right. Probably some truth in that. The size of rivets and panel joints on most models would look appalling if scaled back up
I have read that model cars are always made slightly wider, otherwise they look very odd. Hollywood always made the sets and props in cowboy films 7/8'ths size, so the cowboys always looked bigger.
The RAF had many versions on the Bantam the first in aboput 1938, It is authentic my only comment is the dropsides are a little high. the flat platform versions were more common plus there were several dierent specialist box bodies

we had 2 bantam dropside trucks in the green with yellow stripes livery on role equipment flight at Lyneham, they got replaced by 2 bedford TK [cl] 5 ton dropside trucks.
