Greetings to the forum. Just registered. Now resident in the British Virgin Islands but born and raised at St Athan, S.Wales.

Currently researching RAF St Athan & RAF Llandow WW2 era and aircraft disposal there from 1944 to 1948.

Yes that's right, it was code named Cobra Mist. A real pity it was shut down, we were just beginning to get really useful data.

There was a major problem on the receive path, which was only discovered and corrected later in the project. But everyone had decided it was too expensive and it was traded off in the SALT talks as the Russians didn't want it.
