The 'Introduce yourself' Thread

Hi

I joined the forum to learn more about UK RAF Airfields, hopefully to find out where my ex RAF land Rover might have been based. Would love to here from anyone who was in active service especially with RAF Series 1 Land Rovers from 1952 to 1968 (the year my ex glider tow truck 41AA40 was sold out of service). I used to be in the ATC over 40 years ago, sadly never entered service due to failed medical:sad:

Hello let me introduce to myself well what can I say, well hello my name is Matty but don't call me Mathew I don't like my real name I rather be call Mat or Matty I don't mind, and I joined here since on Sunday 09-02-2014 and its very interesting on here and its keep people in touch and all of information's and its keep me update of all the forum and checked to see if I got any forum that been sent to me, im interesting in RAF aircraft and air shows, listening to my air band radios to find out what going on around the regions, I have been put up my new picture of myself on here and hope people on here do recognise me on the forum and to get to know me too. Hello Peter well my interest that I work in Specsavers in Louth and I work on Monday-Friday 10am-1.30pm, and I do repaired glasses and pulling files for clinic

.I am Robert and I live in Kempsey in Worcestershire. That's just up the road from what was RAF Defford . I am also an amateur Archaeologist and know Dennis quite well but my profession is that of being a Geologist. That means I am interested in the Defford brine springs very close to the airfield.

My name is Baz and I have an interest in military and WW2 military history in particular.
My father was RAF based at Coltishall and Horsham St.Faiths just after the war.

Im currently associated with a couple of former airfields in Suffolk and was introduced to this forum by the RAF Museum.
