I am beginning to worry about the time taking to bring NCAP back up. I had a few queries I wanted to sort out and aerial photos are the best for more accurate timelines.
This was on Twitter just now

I am, ironically, prevented from completing an HES-funded research project because I can't use the key national archaeology and building datasets, PastMap and Canmore, to do the site NGR and condition checks. Ho hum.[/quote]

Thanks so much for your patience while we assess the scope of essential maintenance works required on some of our websites.
Due to the complexity of our sites, this work is anticipated to run into late February. You can find out more here Arrow pointing rightwards then curving downwards
Shame as I think my subscription runs out soon. They mentioned something about an Apache on the web page redirection. Late February is a big worry though.

some interesting images from 1961, 81 and 91. Some odd censorship in the 1961 images of Upper Heyford and Brize, although in the non censored views of UH I think I saw a B50 on a dispersal

Brilliant. I have seen most of these on NCAP but the zoom levels are much better here. I assume the original photos were council funded hence the ability to publish them. That's Sunday sorted
