The target for Seal Sands is just on the edge of two frames but no sign of a direction arrow. However, I believe Seals Sands was closed for the war due to being inside a balloon barrage - not conducive to low level bombing!

the arrow for Wainfleet can also be seen, no target coverage thought
Sadly not the ones for the late war ranges next to it at Leverton and Wrangle Flats. Just missed them! I think the two targets near Gibraltar Point are covered but shrouded in mist.

In browsing the latest addition of WW2 RAF verticals I had complained that many were presented 'upside down',that is, with South at the top making it difficult to identify ground features. It gets worse. Yesterday trying to match an HE image using GE and rotating the latter to align salient features I determined the HE image to be at an angle other than North or South at the top! One image had ink manuscript notations. To read these without standing on my head I took an illegal screenshot with my phone only to find such useful notations as 'Farm' and 'Quarry'!
I was using it this morning but trying to open the individual frames seem to shut things down and give that login screen. The website comes back now but all I get is a map with no overlays or any buttons on it as before so cannot view anything. I have tried Chrome and Firefox - same result on both.
EDIT: I solved the problem by rebooting my PC - No idea why this happened or why rebooting helped. All my browsers are set to clear everything when I close them but after multiple closing and reopening of Chrome with no improvement I resorted to the old IT favourite of turning of the PC and turning on again. May the same type of "improvement" that rendered all my backups useless without notice (NAS drives).

I have just spent two days going through all the German WW2 target folders on the IWM website. (search for "target folders" and tick the box to return results with images). There are a lot of duplications that appear in other archives, most notably NARA, but enough non duplicates to keep me occupied. I don't know if these are new or have been around for a while, waiting for the right search term. There are plenty of airfields, although the names are not always the ones we use. There are also loads of funky ones
To keep me happy there was one of the Scilly Isles that showed the bombing range direction arrow, other potential bombing range ones either pre date the range or are taken from too great a height.
