not sure if this has been posted before, www.pictureoxon.com

some interesting images from 1961, 81 and 91. Some odd censorship in the 1961 images of Upper Heyford and Brize, although in the non censored views of UH I think I saw a B50 on a dispersal

Picture Oxon is hosted/operated by a company "House of Images"

They provide a similar service to a number of organisations, for instance this client list,

Accessibe through the links here
hoimages.co.uk/clients.php

A quick click through the links showed that some of them, including the cornwall one. are not functional

Some of those that are still going seem to be about 10 years old or more judging by the interface. So far Oxfordshire seems to be the best but still a few to check out.

Note that some of the sites (Oxfordshire) have a button to share information on things visible on an image with others.

The US NARA site has started (they may have been there all along, only just noticed them). uploading Luftwaffe target dossiers there are about 250 available. catalog.archives.gov/search?q=target%20d...Type=online&rows=100

I seem to recall these are available elsewhere I just cannot recall where B)

Another good find, thanks.
A lot of published copies of these seem to quote NARA as their source. I have a copy of the Appledram map, bought off ebay but many still crop up on a regular basis. I ssume there are a lot in private hands now.

from the NARA site

"NARA has a partnership with the National Collection of Aerial Photography, Scotland . The photographs scanned by NCAP are currently being added to the NARA Catalog and can be viewed via the series description."

I wonder if the NACP are the source of the inscription "errors"?

All the NCAP Luftwaffe, USAAF and a few RAF sorties are from NARA, so I suspect NCAP used the NARA descriptions initially. I believe all the scanning is carried out in the US and probably digitally sent to NCAP.

I did get excited when Netherthorpe and Firbeck appeared on the list but sadly no photo of Firbeck and Netherthorpe was Netheravon so no chance of spotting signs of the bombing range on them!
