Very sad indeed.

I dread what comments the tabloids are going to make. I have already seen a web headline referring to "stunt plane"!!!
Luckily I don't buy newspapers, we use Andrex.

I heard this news at Shoreham today. And since then I have become progressively more sad. So much talent and a life ended prematurely. Eggman I salute you for achieving so much in such a short time. My thoughts are with you and your family.

Watched the Reds do a flypast over Folkestone from Capel Le Ferne a couple of months ago, they seemed to line up with the statue before turning towards Folkstone.
RIP Jon.

Awful, awful, awful, RIP Jon. With all the crashes and accidents so far this season, I am so pleased there haven't been more fatalities, but I can't help wishing for an end to the season.

One of the elite, a pilot who showed he had what it took to be one of the best. He may not have been on active duty in Afghanistan, but he died while serving Queen and Country, representing HM Armed Forces and will still be regarded as a hero by many, including myself.

Rest In Peace Flight Lieutenant Jon Egging.

Totally agree Rich. Let's not forget he had already served in Afghanistan on Harriers before joining the Reds. Reports suggest he stuck with the Hawk to avoid hitting nearby houses. A true hero.

RIP.

And AFAIK the first member of the Arrows to be killed at an airshow.
