Didn't realise when I posted but the Silent Witness story line deals with the crash of a bizjet (referred to as a Citation but the wreckage they use is obviously a Challenger).
Concluding episode 9pm tonight beeb one.
Won't post any details in case you want to watch it on iPlayer.
Im with you on the Arrows, especially after the Leuchars incident.
On a course at Leeming in '79, station personnel reterred to them as the Red Sparrows and obviously disliked them.
They had nightly confrontations in the bar at Akrotiri with personnel from 100 Sqdn who were there target towing with Canberras prior to convertig to Hawks. and the APC squadron rhere (41 Sqdn with Phantoms?) weren't too pleased with them either.
Off topic but worth knowing I think. Talking Pictures TV had a film on the other evening called "lady godiva rides again". One of the extras in a blink and you miss her moment is Ruth Ellis. She of course became famous (or should I say infamous) when she was the last woman hanged in Britain.
David Blakely, the man she killed is buried in Holy Trinity Church, Penn, Bucks. We went there a few weeks ago (Last Year) to photograph the memorial to a B-17 crew within the church. Ruth Ellis is buried in not-too-far-away Amersham.
