An interesting watch. For a film released originally in 1939 the opening titles got the planform of the Mosquito reasonably correct.
I must admit my jaw dropped at the description of the location of the secret airfield as 9 miles north of Salisbury with Amesbury its closest town; did the producers know that the A&AEE would move to Boscombe Down at the outbreak of war?

A Radio Alert.

Soul Music on Radio 4 Extra earlier tonight was about Glen Miller's 'In The Mood'

One ex-WAAF told how Miller used to pass through the airfleld regularly but they never got chance to go and see the band perform. She asked them one day if they could play for them, he asked the band and they gave the WAAFs an impromptu performance for them.
