It must have been very difficult for them to exchange insurance details.
I know its off topic but look what happened to HMS London in Russia in 1991. The ship was on an official visit to a Russian naval base and a Russian sub fired a torpedo at her!!! Luckily it missed.

I watched that, a few good flying scenes there including Spitfire MH434, but thought the story was a load of dribble.. The ATA memorial that June Whitfield unveiled, I wonder if that is a real new memorial they have there or just a prop for the programme. I'm going past there tomorrow so will call-in to investigate.
