 I do not understand your comment "not a bad little model considering its Hornby". What is wrong with Hornby, they produce some very nice models. I am sure that the 'anoraks' will find fault with their models, but these buildings are meant for model railway layouts, and not as true representations of the real thing. I suggest that you put away your scale plans and tape measure.
There is nothing wrong with Hornby, I have a large amount of Hornby trains myself but when it comes to the buildings and accesories I thought that other makes were better. Don't get me wrong this is a good model, its preassambled like all the other skaledale stuff they do and reasonable value for £12 (Ebay purchase!) but I think if I was making a model airfield I would build my own tower instead!
Not a bad model but I am slightly puzzled by it. Is it meant to be derelict with bits of rendering hanging off? But then why is the window glass intact? I presume it is OO gauge?
It looks more convincing than the Airfix 1/72 Control Tower, which seems to be a weird amalgam of various styles and ends up looking like no building I've ever seen.....
