I see my post about two world wars and one cup has been removed. Oh well, another politically correct move I suppose.

Hi Glyn, welcome to AiX.

Did you photograph those army barracks?

You can tell a builder from an archaeologist by the size of his trowel. Mine is a small one!

Hello AiX ers. I'm new around here.

I live in poole, but I get about a bit. mainly i'm interested in airfields and military installations. I prefer sites with something to look at/wander around but i'll visit anything. I'm a keen photographer with a penchant for long exposure photography. I'm interested in urban exploration, but i'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to tresspass! My favorite sites are the naval cordite factory at holton heath, bournemouth hurn airport, and the newforest airfields.

I'm quite happy to meet and visit sites if anyone else fancies that.

See you in the forums.

Hi Rat

Welcome to the forum, you'll find plenty to interest you. One of our regular posters is from Dorset.

I'm pleased you shy away from trespass, it's something we do not condone on AiX, preferring members to seek permission either beforehand or by seeking out land owners before entering property.

Enjoy the forum.

Welcome RAT.

Take a look at Richard's site here:

He has a lot on Dorset sites including the gun position you plotted at Arne.

An aeroplane that seemed to be at every BoB day at Biggin Hill in the late 60s. Or at least that is how I remember it.
